"UntitledEuphorium Brooklyn, WALD

If you are very very quiet you can hear it. First you must silence everything inside you and around you until all that remains is your own breath and the just barely warm sunshine on your shoulders. The light in springtime is pale gold and it looks warmer than it feels. Follow it in patches where it falls between the leaves and scatters every corner of the earth. Once you are alone with the moss and the ivy and even the humble mildew (that proclaims life amid decay). Listen for the sound of it. Inhale the warm damp of life beginning anew. Run your frozen fingertips along the earth and feel it awakening despite everything. Walls will crumble, but trees stand tall. Bare and barren against the glacial wind because they know the wild always wins.
