Valais beckons in the quietest way. You find your way there first in thoughts. Of peaks that pierce the sky, of green-painted pastures dusted in the finest crystalline dew, of smoke streams curling so effortlessly upwards that you can’t help but wonder what it feels like to be so light. Later, when the sun ignites the valley floor and the pines silently exhale, little wisps of breath will catch in your throat and remind you that you are closer to God.
